Quick Start Guide ​

Welcome to tablrr! This guide will get you up and running with your first comparison table in about 10 minutes.

What You'll Accomplish ​

By the end of this guide, you'll have:

  • Created your tablrr account
  • Added your first operator
  • Built your first listing (comparison table)
  • Verified your website
  • Embedded your listing on your site

Estimated time: 10-15 minutes

Step 1: Create Your Account (2 minutes) ​

  1. Visit the registration page
  2. Choose your registration method:
    • Email/Password: Enter your name, email, and create a password
    • OAuth: Click "Google" or "GitHub" for faster signup
  3. Verify your email address if you choose the Email/Password option
  4. You're now logged in and ready to start!

Step 2: Create Your First Operator (3 minutes) ​

Operators are the casinos, sportsbooks, or forex brokers you want to feature in your listings.

  1. From your dashboard, click "Operators" in the navigation menu
  2. Click "+ Add Operator"
  3. Fill in the basic information:
    • Name: The operator's display name (e.g., "Bet365 Casino")
    • Type: Select casino, sportsbook, or forex
    • Logo: Upload the operator's logo (optional but recommended)
    • Rating: Enter a rating if desired
    • Description: Add a brief description
    • Affiliate Link: Add your affiliate link
  4. Click "Save"

Tip: You can add more details later. For now, focus on getting your first operator created.

Step 3: Create Your First Listing (4 minutes) ​

Listings are the tables or grids that display your operators.

  1. From your dashboard, click "Listings" in the navigation menu
  2. Click "+ Add Listing"
  3. Give your listing a name (e.g., "Top 5 Casinos")
  4. Choose a layout type:
    • Table: Traditional row-based comparison
    • Grid: Card-based layout
  5. Select a style (free styles are available to all users)
  6. Select the operator(s) you created in Step 2
  7. Configure which columns to display (logo, name, rating, etc.)
  8. Use the live preview to see how it looks
  9. Click "Save"

Tip: You can always edit your listing later to add more operators or change the layout.

Step 4: Verify Your Website (3 minutes) ​

Before you can embed listings, you need to verify that you own the website.

  1. Go to Sites & API Tokens page
  2. In the "Sites" section click "+ Add Site"
  3. Enter your domain (e.g., example.com)
  4. Choose your verification method and verify the domain

Domain verification methods ​

If using WordPress:

  • Copy the verification code shown
  • In your WordPress admin, go to tablrr plugin settings
  • Paste the verification code and submit the form
  • The plugin automatically verifies your domain
  • Return to tablrr and click "Check status" to complete the process

If not using WordPress:

  • Create a file named tablrr-verify.txt
  • Paste the verification code into the file
  • Upload it to your website's root directory
  • Return to tablrr and click "Verify"
  • Note: This method requires Growth plan or higher

Once verified, you'll receive an API token for embedding listings

Step 5: Embed Your Listing (2 minutes) ​

Now you're ready to embed your listing on your website!

If using WordPress:

  1. In your WordPress editor, add the tablrr shortcode [tablrr id="shrtcode_id"]
  2. Publish or update your page
  3. Your listing will appear on your site!

If using API:

  1. Use the API token from Step 4
  2. Make API requests to fetch your listing HTML/CSS/JS
  3. Include the returned code in your website

Tip: When you update your listing in tablrr, the changes automatically sync to all websites where it's embedded!

Common Questions ​

Q: Can I edit my listing after embedding it? A: Yes! Any changes you make in tablrr automatically sync to all websites where the listing is embedded.

Q: How many operators can I add? A: Free tier allows 10 operators. Paid plans offer unlimited operators. See Billing Guide for details.

Q: Can I use the same listing on multiple websites? A: Yes! Once you verify multiple websites, you can embed the same listing on all of them.

Q: What if I hit a limit? A: You'll see an upgrade prompt. You can either upgrade your plan or delete unused resources to free up space.
